About unroute.

unroute finds alternative routes to events. We compare direct options with stitched journeys across flights, trains, and coaches, so you can see more ways to get there. No accounts, no payments, no fees.

unroute is not a travel agent. We don't sell tickets, hold inventory, or take payment. Every booking happens on the operator's own site. We're a search tool that disappears the moment you click through.

How unroute works

unroute is a free route-search tool that finds alternative ways to reach specific events — festivals, football matches, concerts — from any home city. Instead of only showing a direct flight or train, it can stitch a flight into a neighbouring hub with a regional train or coach for the last leg. Flight prices come from live search data; ground legs are shown as unpriced guidance. Searches need no account, results link straight to operators' booking pages, and unroute takes no payment or inventory. It launched in 2026 and covers events worldwide.

A worked example

A festival weekend from Manchester can see direct flight fares rise sharply around an event date. A stitched alternative may use a neighbouring airport, then a regional train or coach for the final leg. unroute compares live flight fares and shows transfers separately because their prices are not included in the route total. The best option depends on your dates and city.

Who's behind unroute

unroute is an independent, self-funded project. There are no accounts, no payments, and no ads. Some booking links are affiliate links: if you book through them, the operator pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you — that's the entire business model.
